Desert heat, dust and a rainy south
Northern and central Sudan is hot and dry, with dust storms (haboob) that sand-blast exposed surfaces. South Sudan has a long, heavy rainy season and very humid conditions around Juba. Printed labels fail in both. Anodized aluminium keeps the print under the surface, and riveted or screwed fixing means dust on the surface does not stop the tag holding. Arabic and English wording
Tags for Sudan often carry Arabic and English, such as "ملك" (property of) with the organisation name. Arabic is printed right to left, so send the text as a file and check the proof. South Sudan uses English for most official purposes.
